Mokala, Northern Cape

Flying on Dead Man’s Curve

Mokala National Park was the location for a game capture operation that targeted 100 gemsbok and 75 red hartebeest for translocation. For this group, the Veterinary Wildlife Services decided to herd the antelope into a plastic boma with the use of a helicopter. Shooting a game capture operation from a helicopter, you quickly learn a few things. The chopper moves fast. The animals move fast. You have to move fast too.
